Micro-Needling is a collagen induction therapy that involves puncturing the skin with tiny, sterile needles in effort to boost the skin’s natural elastin and collagen production. Ideal candidates for this type of therapy include those looking to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, heal acne scars, address stretch marks, and more. Micro-Needling is a popular choice among patients looking to rejuvenate their appearance.Go To Top
At first thought, Micro-Needling may sound like a painful experience. However, the tiny needles used in this type of therapy are only inserted skin-deep. The pain, if any, is very minimal and has been compared to the feeling of light sandpaper. A topical numbing agent may be applied prior to the procedure but is often not necessary.Go To Top
Immediately following the procedure, skin may appear pink and flushed similar to mild sunburn. There may be some tightness or swelling that gives the skin a more radiant appearance, but all side effects tend to resolve themselves anywhere from 12 hours to 3 days depending upon the specific treatment received, skin type, and skin condition.Go To Top
It’s very common to see results immediately following the initial procedure. Results continue to improve over the course of 6 months with a significant increase in collagen and elastin production.Go To Top
Most patients achieve desired results within a series of 3-6 treatments spaced throughout 4-6 weeks. If Micro-Needling treatments are being used to treat more severe conditions such as deep wrinkles, acne scars, or stretch marks, 6-8 treatments may be necessary.Go To Top
Platelet Rich Plasma is a concentration of platelets in the blood containing protein that expedites healing. When used in conjunction with rejuvenation therapies, PRP enhances the natural healing process of the body helping results appear quicker while boosting the production of collagen and elastin.Go To Top
From a patient’s blood sample, the PRP is separated from the blood and used immediately following the Micro-Needling procedure. After a Micro-Needling treatment, the PRP is applied to the skin topically where the newly created channels accept the protein and kick-start the natural healing process. Together, both therapies enhance the overall appearance of the skin leaving patients looking younger and brighter than before.Go To Top
