Effective Treatment for Many Skin Conditions
Acne scars, uneven pigment, broken capillaries, loosening skin along the jawline, and hollowing in the cheeks can look like separate problems, yet they often share the same roots. Sun exposure, genetics, hormones, inflammation, and the gradual loss of collagen, fat, and bone that comes with age all play a part, and the right treatment depends on which of those is driving the change you see. Patients from Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Century City, and across Los Angeles come to Parsa M.D. for a careful evaluation first, followed by a plan built around their skin, their goals, and the downtime they can realistically accept.
Dr. Kami Parsa is an oculoplastic and reconstructive surgeon with more than 20 years of clinical experience and an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. His medical grounding reaches well beyond aesthetics. He earned honors citations in the family medicine and general surgery clerkships while at Keck, then completed an internal medicine internship at UCLA before his ophthalmology residency at USC’s Doheny Eye Institute and his fellowship in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. His current research interests include skin repair and minimally invasive facial rejuvenation, and that work shapes how each condition below is assessed and treated.
“A skin concern deserves a diagnosis before it gets a treatment. Once we understand why something is happening, the plan is usually simpler, and the result looks more like the patient.” — Dr. Kami Parsa

When a Skin Change Needs Medical Evaluation First
Some skin changes call for a medical diagnosis before any cosmetic treatment. A spot that is new, growing, changing in color or shape, bleeding, or slow to heal should be checked for skin cancer first, and sudden hair shedding or heavy sweating can reflect a thyroid, hormonal, or medication cause worth discussing with your physician. When a concern falls outside the scope of the practice, Dr. Parsa will point you to the appropriate specialist.
