Botox® Injections

Botox® is a minimally invasive treatment commonly used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Made from a purified protein, neurotoxins have the ability to relax the muscles that create facial wrinkles, giving you a refreshed, younger look. Once you are examined, we will come up with a customized treatment plan to help you achieve the results for which you seek.

A specialist cosmetic surgeon can use Botox® for multiple purposes. Exact amounts of neurotoxins are used in precise areas in accordance with your needs. Your specialist will also provide you with pre- and post-treatment guidelines, helping to ensure that your Botox® treatment has the desired results. Contrary to myths surrounding Botox® treatment, the end results are not always the same. An experienced specialist can, however, use Botox® to achieve specific results for each individual patient.

Botox® Results

The timescales for Botox® results vary depending on the type of application and the person. Typically, you can expect to see results between 3 to 10 days after treatment. Many people worry that Botox® will leave them expressionless or unable to move facial features. While a frozen look is possible and often requested by our patients, it is not a necessary result of Botox® treatment.

Your specialist will work with you to decide on the result you wish to achieve from Botox® injections. Once you are happy to move forward with the treatment, the specialist will use precision injections to achieve the appearance you have requested. Always seek treatment from a skilled and experienced professional for the best possible results.

1. How do neurotoxins work?

Go To Top

Neurotoxins work by relaxing the muscle used to make expressions that form wrinkles between the brows, the forehead, around the eyes and face.

2. What do I need to know before I have a neurotoxin treatment?

Go To Top

To minimize the risk of bruising, it is suggested to stop the use of Vitamin E, Flax Seed Oil, Fish Oil, and other anti-inflammatory supplements 4 to 5 days before the injection.

3. What should I know after I have a neurotoxin treatment?

Go To Top

Post-procedure it is recommended you refrain from exercise, receiving a facial, or massage for 24 hours. It is also helpful to avoid lying down for up to 3 to 4 hours immediately after the injection.

4. When will I see results from my neurotoxin treatment?

Go To Top

The effects may be noticed in as little as 3 days, but it may take up to 10 days to achieve maximum results.

5. How can neurotoxins help with my migraine headache?

Go To Top

Neurotoxins are FDA approved to prevent headaches in adults with chronic migraines. It is felt that the relaxing of muscle contraction that Botox® induces in the forehead and neck changes the “messages” that nerves in the region send to the brain. Somehow the nerves from these areas which transmit the sensation of pain are no longer obligated to tell your consciousness that you’re having a headache.

6. Will I still be able to make facial expressions?

Go To Top

Whether you are looking for a natural look, frozen look, or anything in between, our neurotoxin strategists will deliver the results you desire.

7. How long will my neurotoxins last?

Go To Top

Visible results last up to 4 months.

8. Can neurotoxins be used for treatment or excessive sweating (HYPERHIDROSIS)?

Go To Top

In 2004 the FDA approved Botox® for treatment of severe underarms sweating (axillary hyperhidrosis). Dryness typically lasts 4 to 14 months. Neurotoxins have also been used for excess sweating of face, hands and feet. Please call us for more information.

Words cannot express how thankful and appreciative I am to have found you. I am deeply grateful for you, for your generosity and caring nature as pertaining to my medical condition. As you know, I was apprehensive about having further surgery, but you are and have been reassuring and confident in the type of procedure you would perform in order to fix my eyelid from the beginning. The fact that you are not pushy and gave me the time and space to make the decision on my own allowed me to prepare myself mentally and emotionally, that really made a difference. Besides from that, your continuous generosity made me confident that you were the right doctor for the task at hand. You will never know how appreciative I am of that. I would also like to let you know how pleased I am with the results of the surgery. I have not felt this comfortable in years. My parents are also very grateful since this was my 14th surgery. You have a true gift. Thank you again for your patience, time, concern, and overall care. I pray that God continues to give you strength to help people who truly need life-changing medical procedures.

Dr. Parsa is an amazing doctor. Warm and very caring. I had my eyes done a couple years ago and I couldn’t be happier. Dr. Parsa likes to take the conservative approach which I greatly appreciate in a doctor when it comes to cosmetic surgery. I also go to Dr. Parsa for Botox and he always knows just the right amount.
The staff in Dr. Parsa’s office are all terrific!

I found Dr. Kami Parsa on RealSelf a couple of years ago. He was one of the top doctors I found. I read many of the reviews patients left and they were all great. So, I decided to go ahead and set up a consultation with Dr. Parsa. He is very smart and truly knows what he is talking about. After consulting with a couple of other doctors, I knew Dr. Parsa was the one. I chose Dr. Parsa to perform the surgery. I had a great expericence with the surgery it’s self, everything went very well. I am so happy with the final results. I would 100% recommend Dr. Parsa to anyone who is looking for a upper/ lower Blepharoplasty doctor. Dr. Parsa really knows what he is doing.

I have been bothered for years by my left eye feeling “tired”, manifesting in a a “droop”. My ophthalmologist diagnosed it as “ptosis” (drooping eyelid), and referred me to Dr Parsa for a consult. From the beginning, my experience has been exemplary. First, his assistant, Marie, is amazing-warm, compassionate, knowledgeable. After a comprehensive examination and paying close attention to my explanation of what I have been experiencing, Dr Parsa concluded I am NOT a candidate for the ptosis surgery. Rather, a corrective procedure is actually an eyebrow lift-much simpler, less invasive, far less costly. What a breath of fresh air to find a doctor who is is patient- centered and willing to not “sell” a more expensive job. His professionalism and apparent expertise were evident throughout. This is what healthcare in America should be all about.
