About Dr. Kami Parsa
Dr. Kami Parsa is an oculoplastic and reconstructive surgeon who specializes exclusively in reconstructive, revisional, and cosmetic surgery of the eyelids and surrounding tissues. His expertise has made him a trusted choice for patients who require revisional surgery following previous procedures around the eyes. Dr. Parsa has appeared on media outlets around the world, including The Doctors, Botched by Nature, Discovery Channel, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, The New York Times, the Miami Herald, GQ, HuffPost, VICE, and Town & Country. In 2026, he was recognized by Newsweek and Statista as one of America’s Best Plastic Surgeons in the Eyelid Surgery category.
Dr. Parsa is a native of California. He attended UCLA, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Aeronautical Science. After graduating with honors from the Keck School of Medicine of USC, Dr. Parsa completed his ophthalmology residency at USC’s Doheny Eye Institute. He then completed a two-year subspecialty fellowship in Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Miami’s Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, consistently ranked the No. 1 ophthalmology program in the country by U.S. News & World Report. He is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
Dr. Parsa lectures nationally and internationally on aesthetic and reconstructive oculofacial surgery, including for The Aesthetic Society, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, and the Australasian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. He has taught at congresses throughout Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, India, and the United States. He developed the Trifecta Lift™, Quadfecta Lift®, NanoStem®, and the Duplex® Procedure. His published research includes work on post-hyaluronic acid recurrent eyelid edema, or PHAREE, a condition affecting some patients who have had hyaluronic acid filler placed around the eyes. He is also the founder and program director of Core Aesthetics, which trains physicians in advanced aesthetic and oculoplastic techniques.
His interest in how the body heals led him to write HEAL: Your Recovery Blueprint, a guide to the role of nutrition in recovery from surgery and injury that draws on nutritional principles used in burn units and intensive care. He wrote the book following his own recovery from open-heart surgery. This work also led him to found Mendora, where he developed The Skin Repair Formula, a daily nutritional supplement formulated to support skin health and recovery, including alongside aesthetic procedures.
In addition to his surgical practice and teaching at USC, Dr. Parsa is involved in humanitarian work. He is the founder of the Surgical Friends Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to providing reconstructive surgery to patients without access to quality medical care. Through the organization, Dr. Parsa has traveled internationally to perform reconstructive procedures for patients in need. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending quality time with his family.
